Jason Liu is an ambitious event producer with strong experience background in event production. He has produced live and virtual events for multiple fields including political, advocacy, corporate and nonprofit organizations. Jason is a Florida native who went to the University of Florida majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Mass Communications. In Fall 2017, he also completed the Event Management Certificate Program at Montgomery College. During his undergraduate career, he was involved in multiple organizations that developed his interest in event planning, social media marketing, and Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) issues.

He was an event management intern at Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, MD. During his time at Strathmore, he had the opportunity to work on four concert hall shows and three events at AMP, which is a live music and dining venue. He assisted in managing performers and VIP hospitality. He aided in creating the performer’s settlement package, which detailed the performer’s fee and expenses.

Jason is living in Washington, D.C. area where he currently works as an Event Producer and Production Manager for TalkingTree Creative. He manages live and virtual events for clients from various industries. Over the last year with COVID-19, he has grown with the market changes in leading strategy to clients, which have included international conferences, corporate and nonprofit galas, and internal corporate updates. Jason has developed a background to build unique and creative virtual experiences that offer connection and engagement.

He continues to be actively engaged in the APIA community through his involvement in Sparks Magazine, an organization that provides a mixed media platform for students to create content to engage in, develop and understand the APIA experience. During his nine years with Sparks, he has planned multiple events, organized social media campaigns, and expanded the organization’s presence to other campuses. He continues to work with the magazine as the Executive Director on the National Board where he oversees internal projects and communications.
